I was actually VERY impressed heading up there last week. ALL of the roads in front of Reef Village were graded. First time I had ever seen that... I believe they are responsible (THANK YOU Reef Village).

The road seems to improve with use and its nice to see traffic off the beaches. Its getting better and better.

There are some pretty rough spots before you get to Belizean Shores.
Its raining now and this afternoon should tell a story.
Somewhere just pass Mata Chica and Pats house, motor cycle traffic must have found a way to return to the beach.
A guy with no license plate and no muffler comes by my beach at 6:00am 7 days a week. Gurrrrrrrrrrr

I was there last week and stayed near Belizean Shores. We only had one day (it was pouring rain) that we couldn't make it to town on golf carts. The kids rode bikes to town every day. We just went slow on the carts and watched where previous carts went in the puddles and out to find our way through. If it hasn't been raining the road might be bumpy, but you should be able to get through. And a BIG thank-you to whoever graded the road by Reef Village several times during our stay - it was nice to have a smooth stretch of road!

Thanks all, doesn't sound much changed. Hopefully the rain stops before February starts. Maybe we'll stick to the water taxi - let somebody else watch where i'm going. :-)
