Is anyone out there currently subscribing to BTL or Coral Cable’s highest level of Residential DSL (advertised by BTL as the "Ultima" plan - 512K up / 1mb down)?
I know the quality of service can vary wildly from day to day (or even minute to minute), I’m just trying to determine (on a good day) the approximate actual vs. advertised bandwidth and what kind of latency there is. I'm also curious to know if there are significant differences in the results depending on location (in town vs. north of the bridge vs. south of town).
If you are on the island and subscribing to one of the top 2 DSL plans (256K/512K or 512K/1mb) could you please go to http://www.speedtest.net/
and then record your up/down and ping rates along with which DSL plan you have and if you are north, south or in town? I really appreciate it.
For the record, I know there was a another post a while back where folks from all over were giving their results. I just need to hear from folks that are currently on the island using DSL.
Thanks a bunch,
