I just got off the phone with my friends in Camalote Village.

They are busy preparing what we call "The Bunker". This is the office part
of the building I am building. It was there that they went when Mitch came
calling, but this time it looks like they might need it for real.

He said the rain is strong but not serious. Winds around 30 to 40 mph.

He said he heard that the BTL tower on SP went down, so no phones for a

I can't help but notice that "Joyce" is predicted to go back to hurricane
strength in 72 hours, and is on a projected beeline for Belize!

We shall see.

1.6 ins rain over last 12 hrs. Swirling winds, estimated 15 MPH.
slight continuous rain all day. The river remains at 8 ft above normal, with
increases expected tonight because of the all day rain.

07:06pm...The Mopan River is reportedly rising in the Cayo District as observed in the Benque Viejo del Carmen area.
