6th Annual Fish Fest 2008

The Toledo Institute for Development and Environment (TIDE) is in the process of planning its sixth Annual Toledo Fish Festival, which starts on Holy Saturday 22nd at 1 p.m. and all day on Easter Sunday March 23, 2008 in Punta Gorda, Toledo. The "Fish Fest" is an event that brings national and international visitors together to learn about our conservation efforts and enjoy our cultural diversity. It helps to fund raise for the sustainable use of our precious resources and gives our stakeholders an opportunity to generate an income.

The Sixth Annual Toledo Fish Festival will include activities such as: a traditional fishing tournament, a kayak race on the Rio Grande River, eating contests, a net casting competition, swimming contest, tug-o-war, and many other games for both adults and children. There will be a wide-variety of cultural food and drinks on sale.
