Hi, just wondering from those who've been to AC before-- do I need a special adaptor for my hairdryer? Taking off Wednesday for the island and it just dawned on me that I could be out of luck. Thanks!!

No problem, your dryer will work just fine, but the warm air and sun will almost dry your hair faster.

If you are blow drying to straighten your hair forget that, it will curl back up before you get to the bar/restaurant. Really.

No special adaptor necessary, if the power is on you will have dry hair.

My hair is not really curly, but it curled up and ballooned out in San Pedro, but don't worry everyone's hair looks the same way. What was funny about mine, I have blonde streaking, so the blonde stayed straight and the brown underneath curled up. Funnnnnnny

Well now you started it. We need a picture of Heather with curly hair standing next to Paisano at Cannibals I think.

I just let my hair go natural. Got sick to death of the blow dryer. I did find also that the sea water makes your hair soft just like corn silk and very shiney. My hair never looked better. I imagine all the fish I ate helped as well. Fish protein is great for hair.

debbie, you are lucky. usually my hair is my best natural attribute, full of body and just a bit of wave (unlike the rest of me). however, the sea air & wind make it a big frizz ball. i brought lotsa rubber bands & scrunchies and wore it up everyday. had one in my room, but it was too hot to sit with a blow dryer. too lazy to be bothered. youre on vacation, man!

My hair is long and curly, like I've had a spiral perm but natural. So, in other less kind words what you all are telling me is that I'm going to look like a gringo with an afro? I guess when I get back I'll have to change my user name to frizz head...lol. But thanks for the heads, I'll be sure to load up on scrunchies, claws and product, product, product.
