Hi,

We're counting down to our visit to San Ignacio- 5 days to go!- and the weather reports aren't looking too good...seeing lots of rain, occasional thunderstorms, and the 10-day forecast on weather.com doesn't look much better.
However, since the weather reports come out of Belize City, I'm hoping that inland is a little bit nicer. Could we get some reports as to how the weather is over there? What's the temp really like? Coming from Seattle, I see rain and think 40 degrees - but your weather report says rain and 80 degrees.
I guess we should know now if we need to bring pants and jackets!

Thanks,

Rachel

Hi RachelAnne,
I'm on the island, Its hot, I'm sweating. I'm here looking at the sky , its blue the sun is bright and there are some fluffy white clouds.
I have on shorts and bare feet as does every one I see.
San Ignacio is in the hills and I take a light jacket when i visit there because sometimes ...not often its cool at night.
Belize City forecast doesn't really reflect/pertain to San Ignacio.
It gets 100 inches a year up in the hills and I always expect to be rained on a little but its warm rain and never seems to last long.

There you go, light chop, 10 to 15 knots wind.
Not very pertinent to the mountains. I see what you mean by 'whats the weather really like'
Don't you just love the weatherman.

Notice that they include temps, both day and night for coast, inland and hills.
Hope that helps.

It does, thanks so much Jesse and Elbert. Coming from Seattle, the idea of warm rain doesn't sound that bad...of course we're coming for the sun but hey, I am so excited over "warm" that I don't even care! I will pack a light jacket as planned. Thanks!
