Belmopan, 1st April 2008.- The Embassy of Mexico to Belize informs that on Sunday 6 April, Mexico begins Daylight Saving Time or Summer Time (Horario de Verano). That day at 2:00 am clocks go forward one hour to 3:00 am. That means that Mexico local time will run 1 hour ahead of Belize local time until 26 October.
For example, on Sunday in Mexico 10:00 am local time will be 9:00 am in Belize local time.
For those traveling within Mexico, the Embassy suggests to change your clock to move one hour ahead before going to sleep in the evening on Saturday 5 April. That would assure that you will keep on with the local time while you are in Mexico.
If you are in transit through Mexico, please check your flight local time.
