...to skydive into the Blue Hole????

I had to wait until April Fool's was over to post this!

Here's the deal. I am thinking of offering a tandem skydive into the Blue Hole next year. Now sit down when I tell you the cost.
$20,000usd.
What is included:
-Tandem jump from 13,000ft over the Blue Hole, with video and stills, landing in the center of the Blue Hole.
-SCUBA dive of the Blue Hole, 2 drift dives and lunch on Half Moon Caye.
-Your footage may be used on an upcoming TV show.
-A training jump on Ambergris Caye, with video and stills.
-Other assorted goodies such as free One Barrel and a boogie t-shirt.

Why so damn much $$$ you ask?
The salt water kills parachutes, automatic opening devices (AAD)and the containers.
A tandem rig costs $14,000 to replace. The rig we will use will get tossed. Probably hung up at Holy Cross school for shade!
The camera flyer is risking $5,000 in video gear.

Want to know what it's like, check out www.skydivebelize.com and go to the image gallery and watch the video of the Blue Hole jump from 2005!

I'll probably have to advertise in the "Robb Report" and "Rich Guy" magazine, or put it on Ebay!

(Besides, that "Hilary" thread is getting boring and we needed something fun to discusss!)

So immissing, get out your credit card and send KathyA over the Blue Hole! klcman, part with some of your millions! Seashell, this is the perfect dive adventure for you!, Amanda, it will be a SOFT landing!, Marty, you could get some great photos for the website!, Pedro1, no ankle worries, PalapaBob, now is the time!

SJ, exactly my thought.

Might as well throw in a ride on a lear jet and a stay at Cayo Espanto. LOL. It will be intersting to see if anyone bites at this.

I get e-mails from folks that want to jump the Blue Hole tandem all of the time.
It's sort of like the guys that pay big bucks to go to a fantasy sports camp. There is a 1980 USA hockey team fantasy camp in Lake Placid coming up. How cool to skate with those guys and blast pucks at Jim Craig! Mrs. reaper said GO! Until I saw the price. About $8,000 for a long weekend! Guess what? It's booked!

So we are just offering a great once in a lifetime opportunity!
One SP visitor asked how much a tandem into the Blue Hole would be this year and we said $15,000 and they didn't blink!
See, isn't this way more fun than the Hilary thread!

Maybe I'll have to put a brochure up at Cayo Espanto or Azul.

Reaper,
WOW!!!!!!!! I was lucky enough to be at the 1980 Winter Olympics and saw the US/Russia game, as well as the US/Finland game!! That sounds like a complete blast. Have a great time, and make sure we get a trip report on that!!
Cheerz,
Vicki
