Afterthoughts:

If staying at or near Belizean Shores, take a small flashlight for walking back on the beach after evening dining at nearby restaurants, which include Captain Morgan's, Capricorn, Rendezvous (at Journey's End), and Caliente Norte (at the Essene Way), which was our favorite.

Blue Moon, the restaurant at Belizean Shores, serves DandD's frozen custard ice cream; I think it's the only place you can get it other than in town at DandD's.

T & A, if you have any questions about Belizean Shores, email me at [email protected]. I have LOTS of photos, including interiors of our unit, sunrises, and beach scenes, also the bridge, the "road" to town, which I'd be happy to share if you're interested.

I yearn for DandE's too! No such luck, however, since I am now back in the Pacific Northwest.

Our last day there, my sister went into town for a final DandE's "fix", as well as purchasing wood carvings we'd admired earlier that week, while I headed out for a final snorkel trip. However, all was not lost: the Blue Moon restaurant at Belizean Shores serves DandE's, too. Only vanilla and chocolate, but -- better than missing out altogether on that last day!

XOE, Thank you for your wonderful trip report. My husband and I are going to be there in May. First time and can't wait to go. We are staying at Belizean Shores. I hope you don't mind but I sent you off an email for some more info. Thank you again to everyone on this board, I would be so lost without all of your wonderful post.
