Thanks for all the input everyone! So far we have...

Mickeys
George's Kitchen
L'Esquinta (opposite the casa pan dulce)
Cannibals
Sunset Grill (didn't realize they served R&B at lunch, thx!)
Dianita's
Manuels Red Door (Tropical Take out)
El Fogon

Side notes: Anyone know where Shirley is now?
Lil Red: Is rice and beans on the menu at Casey's? We're probably going to want to order it on a regular basis if it is 'the best'.
TQ: Across from Coconuts? Do you mean that little snack bar with the bar stools on the street?
weile: it is fun! I'll let you all know the results!

Any other place that we shouldn't miss?

Yes, that is what I was told. I will verify this weekend - just for you. wink

Also, again, if you find yourself at Goldson Int'l, upstairs, ask for the "local special". A Belizean local introduced me to it - it's great!

I bet Shirley is the same one I used to buy from, at the Park, would also like to know if she is still cooking!

El Fogon. Stewed chicken was good too. It was an experience in Belize culture, I think.

Do I have to mention Estel's? I had their stewed chicken my first day on the island and fell in love with the place.

I also agree on the restaurant on the second floor of the airport. I'd been on an all night flight, was hungry and tired and had 55 mins till my Maya flight to SP. The ladies in the restaurant were cheerful and laughed when at 11AM I ordered a Belikin with my "Taste of Belize" special. It was about as good as it gets in airport food. My buddy's been through there twice and never knew there was a restaurant.

OK this may sound silly but...The Road Kill serves food? I had no idea! We were there almost nightly our last trip down and never saw food.
