Hello All,

I recall seeing a post quite some time back regarding the donation of used computers & parts for the school.

I have been looking and cannot find the thread. Does anyone have any info on this?

We have a stack of retired PC's that we would like to donate if they are needed and it would be practical to ship them.

Also, if you have any tips on shipping they would be appreciated.

Please email me at : stephen_gregg(at)co.columbia.wa.us

Thanks

Steve

What is actually easier to do is break them down into components and ship without the cases. Cases with PS's are relatively cheap here 50 US. And shipping the components is much cheaper, we do it this way for computers donated to schools here in Toledo.

They are a mix of Pentium class PC's. Most of them are at least 4-5 years old.

I'm pretty sure the San Pedro High School can use them and would be very grateful!
A teacher there contacted me about a month or so ago about trying to find some so they could have a second computer lab.
I'll e-mail her directly and let you know. Iíll also PM you with her contact information.
Can they have first dibs on them if they do need them? ;-)

do you think they would be interested in a printer, I just replaced mine but there is nothing wrong with it except that it needs ink cartridges. I will hopefully be moving there this June if all goes according to plan. I can bring it down with the rest of my stuff if anyone needs it. let me know, It is a HP I am not sure of the exact model # but I can find out easy enough if someone needs it

I have some ink for a Canon printer, BJC - S300.

If anyone can use them, please let me know and I will happily give them to you.
