Twelve Years Ago

I stepped off the plane and looked around and immediately knew that this was like no other island I had ever been to. The plane landed right in the heart of San Pedro, Belize. There was very little traffic and the town was small. The streets were made of sand. As I looked down I notice that the tourist were the only people wearing shoes, and "No shirt, no shoes, no problem" was written on a billboard at the end of a long fence. The people were wonderful. It was as if stress, and crying babies did not exist

Thanks everyone for allowing My wife Tina to express herself threw her writing. She has been taking writing courses now for months. She will be a famous writer some day, if she keeps up with her passion. This was home work for her and she had to publicly display her article. Go Tina !
We love San pedro and the people and understood 12 years ago, that the island would change. The wonderful memories of the golf cart taking on water and sinking in a pot hole in front of Ramons are not forgotten.
