You can go down by car or cart about 1 mile from where the road splits to the dump. There are 3 cuts and they will have to rebuild the road there and up north where the salt flats are at. We went down there by cart and by boat. The cut we couldn't get around down south is about 2-3ft deep.

The road south all the way past Malcolms (the round house)and Levys (the blue house) is fine. The dredge has already filled the area by Malcolms. The next washed out area is several hundred yards south of Malcolm but the road is passable there. Vehicle traffic ends near the low white wall on the shore which has washed out and needs some road work. The town board will fix the road as soon as they can get to it.

Thanks Jesse, glad to have you back in town. We'll be at the Holiday again at Christmas so drop in for a beer! We have been keeping our fingers crossed that the power lines may have been extended a bit to the south since they had to replace all the poles anyway. Can you give us any news on this?

Power poles in your area survived without problems. An owner of property south of you recently contacted BEL in Belize City through the local island BEL manager and was told that they intend to extend power clear south very soon, however they must have the road repaired to get access both for the new line and to maintain the existing high lines.
