Hi everybody. Long time reader, first time poster! Thanks so much to Marty and Sandshaker for keeping everybody up to date.

I'm wondering about the status of electrical repair on the island. Front St. had electricity two days after Keith, but it doesn't sound like power has been restored anywhere since then.

The closest I can find to an update is the latest article from the San Pedro Sun, "San Pedro Businesses Air Concerns." In the article it states that, "Area Representative Arceo assured that information would be published and broadcast regarding these areas," referring to electricity, water, and telephone service. Sandshaker is more informative than that when she talks about attempting to do her laundry next week!

Has anyone on AC heard any specifics on when the different areas of the island will have power restored? Any information appreciated.

From what I can gather, via phone calls and emails, it sounds like power is pretty spotty (if existent at all) south of the airport, and certainly north of the "cut". As of this am there still was no power south down by Coconuts, etc.

They have been working 7 days a week since the hurricane....and I assume they will continue to do that until everybody has their power back.

I think the estimate is within 2 weeks they will be finished.
Some as early as Tuesday or Wednesday in the immediate outlying areas of town.

The three main streets running north to south are the main concern first as most of the businesses are located here.

Then they will move outwards north and south.

Ooh ooh. He used the word "reliable" as an adjective for the message board. Goodness, does that mean we're getting a "good" reputation? Nuts!

Choo, no matter how awful we get from time to time, yes we still remain 'reliable", in spite of ourselves. LOL
