I do understand that there are no car rentals on AC, only golf carts, but anybody have any leads as to if it's possible to rent scooters or mopeds on the island?

You can rent scooters from Ayala's (they work out of Graniel's furniture store on Middle Street) and Lime opposite Tropic Air were also doing it but I am not sure if they still have them.

Is Ayala's a store?
And Lime was a rental station?

Ayala's is the name of the scooter rental company that is run by the same person as Graniels and hence why their office is in the same place. You could email them at [email protected] for more info.

Lime is a bar opposite tropic air that also arrange tours and rentals. As far as I know there is no link between the two.

I've emailed them twice now with no response, any phone number or address available for Ayala's?

If COMCAST is your internet provider they may not be able to e-mail you back. Try using a hotmail or yahoo e-mail account to send your e-mail.

Comcast is not my ISP...I use Earthlink.

Oh well, just a thought. We're having problems with Comcast again.

Today is a holiday - St. George's Caye day - so I would suggest you wait to call until tomorrow. The number is 011 501 226 2632 and ask to speak to Marissa.

Hi ya kiya,
the island isn't very big and motorized transport often isn't necessary. If you can avoid adding to the traffic on San Pedro's roads, that's never a bad thing. Why not walk down the beach, instead?
