I am coming to AC next month and am hoping to get some lodging advice. I have been to AC several times, but not for a few years, and I have always traveled with friends on prior trips. This time, I will be alone and my objectives are to dive and relax. I understand that some new resorts have opened north of the cut and was considering Belize Legacy. I want to stay somewhere with a really good beach (not a lot of sea grass) and a good on-site bar/restaurant and easy access to a dive shop. I plan to dive and lounge on the beach and pretty much keep to myself. My only concern with staying so far north of town is that I will feel too cut off and that I will have difficulty getting into town for the basics. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I would look at Portofino as well-they have their own boats to go to town -great restaurant great beach dive shop on site-the only downside of Legacy is it is outside the normal runs of the island ferry, and the restaurant is functional.
