Sis,
Both hubby and I got bit. I'd move tomorrow if I thought I could. I have lived over seas before and for me it was no big deal. Also have mucho family in the Carribbean and for me, it would be like coming "home". I'm well aware of the differences between US and Belize, and I would take Belize any day. I wouldn't even worry about the schools. The unique education and experiences my kids would get living there couldn't be bought for any price here. I went to school overseas and it didn't warp me in any way. I just wish there was a Conservation Group in Belize that could use my husbands expertise. He has a sea turtle project going on South Padre Island, and I know they have them in Belize. I am a school teacher by trade, and would LOVE to someday teach shcool there. Could supplement my kids education if I needed to, but I doubt it would be necessary. I was VERY impressed with the literacy rate and level in Belize. Short on teachers??? Just don't think it would be possible. We don't have the $$$$ to just arrive and be able to set up a household. I definately envy those who can. If they don't allow jobs to newcomers, that would rule us out..... [Linked Image]

Kobejoe.....just one other thing.
This has been discussed already at an earlier date.....but I'll pass it on to you.

Required reading before making such a move:

"Don't Stop The Carnival" by Herman Wouk

You should be able to check it out of a library.

Vikki.....LOL

My prescription for your hubby is for to take him out to Goff's Caye or Rendezvous Caye for the day.

Pack a picnic lunch with wine or Belikin....whichever you prefer.....both will achieve the same results.

Make sure nobody is around....Spread a sheet....and rub him down with coconut oil.

Cook on each side for exactly 38 minutes....LOL

Snorkel....play games...chase each other around nekid....etc., etc....LOL

I assure you...you will have a very difficult time getting him to leave Belize.

The parasite will consume him right there on site. [Linked Image]

P.S. Cayo Espanto certainly won't help either...LOL His fate is sealed!

Sandshaker.....you are sooooo funny and Don't Stop The Carnival is a wonderful recommendation.

KobeJoe....you might want to check out Diane Campbells web site here. She has some wonderful advice about moving to Paradise, the first being don't do it if you are running away from problems!

Just a thought.

OMG!! Nekid on a deserted beach with my husband what will we do? What will we do!
Can you verify that the parasite will be easily detected? The man plans on bringing his laptop. (pouting real big) I think I can distract him, I'll just pour the belekin down his throat and have my way with him!
Thanx for the advice!
