Right, no way that much material got moved without anyone knowing it was being done. "Brass one"!

All around.
The tree theft is just as bad. It used to be just the little ones, they where sold for $10. and a market was created by new lot owners and hotels. Now I've noticed tractors are moving large ones out and transplanting trees as tall as 20' into landscaping of new hotel/condos.

Yep tree theft is a big one. I planted a ton of baby coconut trees about 6 months ago. Just as the tap root was established somebody came by, tried to rip them out - then gave up or were scared off. So now I have dead trees, and the thief left empty handed.

Most of these transplanted larger trees won't survive. Good money for old rope! And the baby coconut trees tend to be stunted if they are ripped out of the ground after they have been established.

My neighbours saw a couple on a golf cart head down the street near my neighbours home. The couple in the golf cart had spades and buckets. My neighbours were heading into town at the time. When they returned an hour later - all of the new baby coconut trees that they had planted that week (from their cultivated nursery) were gone!
