Colly, I feel your pain! I moved to Minnesota 15 years ago from Atlanta, GA. I couldn't get grits until just recently unless I had care packages sent from friends and family remaining in GA. Wish I was headed down soon so I could help with your plea.
And as for pug...Who would want to trade?????? I'd keep the grits!!

Hon, grits are coarser than polenta, but very similar!! Corn meal rules (when properly prepared and flavored)!!
When you find a big kettle of crazy, it's best not to stir it.

make extra, and then put the leftover in a loaf pan. Let it set up, and slice it and fry it the next day, with syrup. OMG!!

Syrup? Do you make yours with garlic, onions and basil...so savory stuff? That's how I make my polenta and I don't think it would go with syrup.

anyone serve shrimp and grits on SP??. I am from NC and eat just grits with butter but in NC and SC most places on the cost serve shrimp and grits. Mary
