We are arriving Sunday and have one suitcase full of little toys and things for the little ones who lost theirs. TO the extent we had a plan we were going to try and find Sandshaker and ask where to take them. We have been reading the boards and praying for the island since bad ol' Keith hit. This is our first visit to the caye, any suggestions as to where we should take these toys, coloring books etc?

2 choices--
1) Give them to Flora, who is the president of the lions club and she will get them to the family's. You can ask for here when you arrive at the SP airport from Belize City. She will come down and meet with you. Tell her you know Rick and Cheri, the patch guy....

2) you can rent a golf cart and travel to the back side and give them away yourselves as you come across kids playing!!!

My choice would be the second, but if you don't feel comfortable about this do #1.

We sent a reply to the address in your 1st message, a bit iffy since we are recovering from hard drive crash. Looks like I only entered my name when I tried to "re-link with earthlink." In a perfect world only bad people would have to deal with hard drive death. I guess the electrons fail on the just and the unjust alike.
