I noticed at least a couple churches while walking around San Pedro, but didn't bother to notice the denominations. Are they Catholic churches? I'm Episcopalian but prefer to attend a Catholic church when I do attend church.

The church beside Central Park is Catholic.

The church right in the centre of town is a Roman Catholic church.

We have many other Christian denominations represented, and many of the masses/gatherings are held in Spanish.

skippy,
I'm thinking that the little church in San Pablo is Roman Catholic.

I am afraid that is an old photo.
The church has fallen into disrepair and neglect.
It was once a great place for weddings and such.
If I remember correctly the McDermott brothers were the main financiers.

I have become totally confused by the local customs....

I was walking (staggering?) by Central Perk the other day when I heard a bell ring: my Pavlovian instincts kicked in and I hurried to the sound, expecting jager shots all round, but all I got was 30 minutes of chanting in Spanish and some wine and crackers laugh

Worst bar I've ever been in, even though the folks were very polite......

In a bar I might be on my knees after a while, but I don't usually start there.

I don't think it was that kind of bar Peter: mostly chanting, but no Erasure or When in Rome wink
