Continuing report - Still don't know what I'm doing!!
Maya releasing baby string ray
Fishing camp in the middle of no where
My first catch in Belize:
Maya, me and Capt Jeff
Maya takes the Trophy for the day. It's an aluminum roasting pan that she fought long and hard to land.
On the way back in after a great morning of fishing. I was so busy catching fish I didn't take a lot of pictures.
What a wonderful trip. Capt Jeff is a great guy and fun to be with. Maya is a "kick" and an avid fisherman. She had never fished until 2 years ago and now she can't keep her line out of the water! We all had a heck of a time kidding each other including Capt Pete. We did as much laughing as catching fish and boy did we catch fish: 40-50 snappers including 4 or 5 barracuda's. The catch went to "
feed the hungry" and that made it more special.
I did keep several fillets and Estel's cooked them for me for the best meal of the week. I hope I have the opportunity to fish with Capt Jeff and Maya again, and again and again!
