We are the four couples with cancellations from Seven Seas. Following are resorts that are available. Could you please tell us what is good and what is not so good... First there's the Hideaway, no ac but fans and the suite has two bedrooms. Next, the Banana Beach Resort, a suite. Then there's Corona Del Mar with one suite. Finally, Belize yachtclub with a garden view suite. We can double up in some cases so if a hideway is better than a Yachtclub, please tell us. We're not fancy but like some convienences and must be clean. We have to book today so please e-mail as soon as possile.
Thanks, Sandy

I think that your best bet would be either Corona del Mar or Banana Beach Resort. They both offer many conveniences, are moderately upscale, and directly on the beach.

BB has a very comfortable queen sofa bed in the living room, so you could double up if you are very friendly. I'm not sure about the furnishings in CdM, but both are well-run resorts.

Corona del Mar is about 1/2 mile from town and Banana Beach is on a great beach about 1-1/2 miles south of town. Bicycles or golf carts are always available for transport.

Both resorts are 100 feet from very popular beach bars. CdM is next to Coconuts Beach Bar, and BB is next to Mata Rocks Beach Bar.

Hope this helps,

**Jim

The Hideaway is great for budget travelers. If you are looking for a resort-type place that is probably not the choice for you. I happen to love the place, but it's not the poshest on the island.

Sandcrab...summed it up pretty good.

I would choose BB...it also has a pool.
A few doors down from them is Tropica Resort...also with a pool and right on a very nice beach....don't know if they have rooms available...but you can check.

Also try Sunbreeze in town....on the beachfront....with pool.

Good luck! [Linked Image]

I was just at banana beach last week. It was nice there but we had a problem with getting the room that we were booked to stay in. [Linked Image] We were suppose to have a beach front deluxe but they overbooked rooms and we had to take a pool front room. In the middle of our week there we were than switched to a ocean front room. This happened with two other familys that we met. One family was suppose to have three rooms for all of them but were told that only two were available for them. In all of the cases the blame was put on the travel agents. Just make sure you get a written conformation and get the room you paid for if you stay there. The rooms were great, very clean, and the staff is very nice. You are south of town so the walk is about 25 minutes on the beach. Most of the time we took taxis or rented a bike or a golf cart.
