I don't think the company ever made it beyond the idea stage. Miss 'Lena is a member on this forum and she hasn't posted in quite some time. The company founder had a good idea and a noble purpose but I think it went the way of many ventures undertaken in Belize and never got into production.

I'm currently building a house on Caye Caulker with a builder from Belize City who has built a number of houses in San Pedro and CC both in wood and concrete. His name in Rhett and his number is 501-663-3931. I'm very happy so far although we're only about 1/3 of the way complete. I'm a builder whose done architectural work in many different countries so have some knowledge about construction and the problems every project encounters. If you want more info PM me.

actually studios and they are for locals who want to rent long term -they pay their own elec and water and must have letter of recommendation from their employer-small and cheap-my point was/is that it is not very difficult to build in Belize-you must order your supplies in advance/micro manage and then everything falls into place-

I'm sure there is a huge demand for those Pedro. Most people spend their time outside anyways.

The cost per sf varies a great deal whether you build in the states or Belize. Are you buying your wood in SP or do you drive up to Spanish Lookout or Orange Walk and get the wood milled for you and then shipped down to SP. Then you have to decide what wood are you going to build with Cabbage Bark or Santa Maria just to name 2. They cost different. Most houses in SP and CC are built with 2x4's rather than 2x6's. As PedroI said you have to micro manage the project and constantly check what your doing. If you know little my guess is you will get very frustrated and that's if you get a good builder. A bad builder will get you poor. Best bet is to spend at least a month or so in SP talking with builders and with people who've had houses built for themselves.

I used to build homes in the states now I teach drafting and design along with engineering at the high school level.
When I start building I will be there everyday checking. The thing I have to brush up on is the type of woods to build with.
Is their any info on that online?
