i have never heard of one single person, not one, who has received a ticket for a 'moving violation', ever.
good luck with the radar gun thing.
in the meantime, try standing on the corner and point a blow-drier at the offenders.

I was thinking more along the lines of a paint ball gun.

yea,, but those are no doubt illegal.
back when we thought we could do something about speeding traffic, we layed out mooring lines across the road.
truck drivers complained and the cops threatened to arrest us!

Shuffles, I got a couple paintball guns you can borrow if it will work!! I have the face masks and chest protectors too but that just might scare the bejeebers out of them!

I doubt they are illegal as we had zero problems bringing them in the country.

Amanda,
radar guns aren't the only way to measure speed. Use a stopwatch. Measure off ten meters and clock the traffic with a stopwatch. 15mph=22feet/second. If I'm doing the math correctly, that's 6.7M/s, so if a cart travels ten meters in less than 1.5 seconds, it's going faster than 15mph. Or, make life easy on yourself and measure off 22 feet. Less than one second is speeding if the limit is 15mph.

Yes, thank for the math lesson Dan. When I was the traffic manager we employed such methods to calculate speed. Of course back then we didn't have the man power that the traffic department has now. Back then we couldn't spare a man to sit in court all day to represent the traffic dept.

I am sure that Harry Longsworth has a few plans he would like to implement and some legislation to propose that will be specifically enacted for San Pedro Town.
