Hi all,
I'm arriving in Belize in April and I'm wondering if there are any safe, affordable (under $60) places to stay?
I'll be there for a week and plan to island hop: 2 days in San Pedro, Caye Caulker and Belize City.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I know several single ladies that regularly stay at Ruby's. It's on the beach and in town:

I've stayed there twice myself. No problems at all.

I know the ladies will offer excellent advise as usual! smile

There are lots of great safe places, but I'm not sure at that price. For a bit more, you could try Changes in Latitudes. Good luck.

Can't imagine why you would want to spend two days in Belize City . . .

We have restaurants In SP that will make Smokey Mermaid cut and run. No need to stay in BC any longet than one must.

Take a look at the Conch Shell in San pedro. On the beach and right in the middel of town.

Thanks for the suggestions. I wasn't too sure about staying in Belize City. A friend suggested it to me, since I wanted to see the Mayan ruins

you can take a day trip to see the ruins while staying either on AC or CC..... and you'll have a nice, safe place to come home to when you're done.

agreed with all the rest that have said this: dont stay in BC longer than the trip from the airport to the water taxi.
