There was a great young man who took us snorkeling at AC last year. I am sure the people at the Palms will know his name but we wonder if anyone out there knows the very gregarious guy who took us out along withothers. We will be at AC on January 9-11. Thanks

Gregarious guy. Could that have been Alfonso Graniel?

check his site, see if you recognize his face. He's certainly a gregarious, funny, patient, music-lovin friend...

Marty:

Thanks lots. I just emailed Alfonso. He is great! We arrive in AC (at The Palms) for two nights, January 9 and 10.

One other question. Does a water taxi to Belize City still leave 9:30 a.m. on January 11?

I love the Bulletin Board! Great source of information. I can't wait to see the new 200 homes going up [Linked Image]

One more question: I have heard that there is now golf cart rentals right at the airstrip at AC. Is that correct? We will need a four seater. Is there a web site for them?

Thanks again.

How far in advance do you need to arrange boat trips for snorkeling? Are there enough guides around that even spur of the moment trips are posssible or do you usualy need some notice?

Like everything else, the availability depends on supply and demand. There should always be "someone" who would take you to the reef to snorkel, BUT, having said that I won't go with just anyone. Alfonso makes the trip an experience. One time I tired while snorkeling and he litterally pulled me around in the water, making the most out of my time that would have otherwise be spent on the boat watching others enjoy the beauty.
