Be careful buying black dirt. Much of it is coming from digging at local Maya sites.

I dont know where this came from. I posted this for a friend who just built a new house and had 100+ bags left over from her landscaping. Please tell me how you determine if the black dirt you buy has been dug from a local Maya site or not. I can't seem to find any "ingredients" label on the flour bags that they are packed in.

Sorry did not mean to offend but the fact of the matter is that many of the Maya sites on the island are being dug up for the black dirt. I just visited 2 such sites with people from archeology. Of course, I know that you did not go and dig up black dirt from a Maya site. And as far as I know there are no Maya sites near Banyan Bay but who knows.
