I booked a flight on American Airlines and I arrive in Miami at 9:10am and my flight to Belize departs at 10:25am.

My question is, do I have enough time to make it? Both flights are on American and I assumed since they booked the connection, I'd have enough time, but now I'm not so sure if I'll make it through customs....

please help smirk

You should be fine since you booked both flights on the same airline and don't have to check again or do security again. You don't go through customs until you get to Belize. Unless you're flying into Miami from a foreign country that is.

I hope that someday we can put aside our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.

agree with what skippy said - only MIA is the hugest, most discombobulated airport in the universe - it may take you almost that long just to catch your connection - don't dawdle, LOL!!!

Not to put in a negative, but when I flew AA from Tampa - Miami - Belize, I was supposed to have a one hour layover and then our plane sat on the tarmac for almost 45 min. in Miami, while I was racked with nerves. Yes, it is a HUGE airport and I ran like hell and was the last person on the plane to BC. If I was ONE minute later, I would have had to spend the whole day and night in Miami, at my cost. Make sure the flight attendant will call your next gate if you think you will be delayed and may miss your flight. Not that that would help, but you never know. Good thing I didn't promise anyone anything from Duty-Free!! You always have better luck in the morning so you should be OK - Good luck!!

Even though both flights are on AA, you will have to change terminals. You should have enough time, but maybe not for a smoke break (assuming they have finished remodeling the smoking lounges). The international and domestic terminals are not too far apart. As long as your initial flight is on time, you shouldn't have a problem. I have made my last 10 or 12 trips with AA and haven't missed a connection yet.

Looking forward to seeing you two! smile

No smoking in the airport yet - I swear, they have been "remodeling" that airport for how many years now??

I was just relaying MY last experience - really, one minute later and I would have missed the last flight of the day to BC! Luckily, I made it...
