I was going to get a life, but this was easier.

80 to 82 - sea a little rough due to strong winds. As soon as the winds die down the viz should clear up.

Two weeks ago a skinny assed friend found this 3mm shorty was not enough. He added a vest and hat and that worked.

I'm fat and usually don't get cold but with just my skin and 1mm sleeveless shorty got chilly.

I've been diving the last two weeks in just a skin, and although I get cold the last 15 min of a dive, not enough to make me wear more. My computer has been saying 80. I've been diving here other parts of the year and have always only used my licra skin. I would rather travel light, and I can always borrow a shorty from a dive shop if needed.

Even when vis isn't great due to high wind as Harriette mentioned, it's still 50-ish ft. And once wind dies down, back to 80ish.

Enjoy. smile

Damn! - I know better than to read these threads. Now I'm Jones'in to dive. June seems like an eternity from here. (waiting for Lobster season) We will make Flower Garden before then.

Back in Sept/Oct we did not even wear our shorties. Never once felt chilled, even though there was a little cloud cover most of the dives. One dive the sun came out full while we were @ 80'. Looked like the studio lights had been turned on.

Go make some bubbles.

Play, Love, Share and Enjoy - it doesn't last forever make sure you get the most out of it.

We were there March 6-15. I dove every day. The water temp was 78-79 degrees. I wore a 3MM fullsuit and I was cold 5 min into each dive. I am not a skinny person. I have more than my share of insulation.

Viz was not too bad - about 50-70 feet.

Hope you have a blast!

We were there January. I wore a 3M suit and was totally comfy the entire time. Jane was too. I guess it just depends on your personal thermostat. Jane certainly doesn't have any extra natural insulation (ok, she's hot and what would you expect me to say...) and I'm 5'8" and 180. I usually dive with a shorty and am comfy, but that's just me. Unless you are naturally susceptible to the cold, you'll love BZE.
