It's been years (and three owners ago) since I stayed there, but I have visited a few times since, most recently about 8 or 9 months ago. It's a nice place owned by an American couple. Attracive pool, pleasant beach. I haven't eaten there recently but we get good reports on the food.
Rooms are in six cabanas, which were upgraded a bit a year or two ago. They are in a row so you don't get that much breeze or ocean view.
Singing Sands is in Maya Beach which is a US$15 or $20 taxi ride to Placencia village, if the shuttle isn't running, but Maya Beach is a nice little area and there are now a several good restaurants here (Mango's, Green Parrot and others).
