How safe is the food & water on A/C? Should I always drink bottled water, do I need to worry about fruits & salads? What about the ice in my drinks? If my hotel has its own purification system, is that enough get the "little germs" out? Just want to avaoid the travlers illness. Is if as easy to get sick as it is in Mexico?

I always drink bottled water. Ice is usually no problem because its produced commerially. I've also never had a problem with the local food... even eating off the street carts. I just make sure I bring my pepto bismal, it does the trick after each meal. But each persons sensitivity and experience is different.

Me and my family came prepared with Cipro (antibiotic) and never needed it. The food and water is just fine. the "taste" of the tap water is not what we're used to, but it was fine. We just had bottled water from the distributorship to carry along with us and make our coffee. Don't worry.

Water from tap taste kinda bad,...lots of chlorine in it, suggest botteled water for drinking. Water is Safe to drink,...not like Mexico where you need bottled water to brush your teeth. No problem from fruits or veggies,....or anything else. Was there 10 days and tried out all the local eateries,....might take a few Tums for the heartburn if you're not use to spicy food,...I overdid it with the hot sauce a few times. Oh SO Good!!
