We bought some carvings from some guys on the street that were beautiful. I didn't think the price was outrageous, and there was some room for haggling. We got one to come off almost half of where we started. We also bought some really nice jewelry from a little shop in Fido's courtyard, and also from an art shop in the restaurant. Nice stuff!! Of course that's on AC

Prices vary wildly. Depends on how much you like it, and how badly he needs to sell it. A true market economy. Wood carvers are all over San Pedro, and the country in general. The work is first class everywhere. Jewelry...I would suggest Amber Jewelry at Fidos Court Yard. Elizabeth is excellent, and will make custom stuff at very reasonable prices. I've bought a ton of stuff from her as gifts for my State Side family.

Marty is right. We stopped in Bomba on Thursday on the way to and from Lamanai. The wood carvings were less expensive there and just as nice as in San Pedro.

Ask SandShaker...she picks up the most uniquely-shaped scultures I think I have ever seen, and cheap!!!
