U.S. Citizen, NJ Resident Lost in Honduran Waters,Family Seeks Assistance to Finance Search
May 13, 2009 – Joseph Dunsavage, Sr., (photo below) has been missing in the waters off Roatan, Honduras since Sunday, May 10. He was last seen in a 9.5” x 5.5” white catamaran with a blue bimini top. He was fishing 200 yards from the beach when he is believed to have experienced engine trouble and begun drifting southwest toward Belize or the Honduran mainland.
Airplanes are searching the open ocean, but any help that can be provided by boat captains, dive operators or tour guides is desperately needed to search the coastline and beaches.
The governments of Belize and Honduras are involved in the search.
Please contact local authorities immediately if you find Mr. Dunsavage. He may be injured and probably is not carrying identification.
