After 6 months in Isla Bonita School, we changed
the school to Ambergris Caye Elementary School ACES because we bought a house in DFC, just 5 Minutes from ACES.

One killer criteria for me as single dad was that we could eat Lunch together as a family. ACES was fine with that.

Since on week ACES has a new management and like always, the a new Management is doing changes.

It will be not allowed for kids to go home for Lunch, even when the parents are picking them up. I don't know if this is complaint with the belizean law? I think many parents will be disappointed.

Is there a other non religious good school in the south of San Pedro?

Can anybody tell about his/her experience.

There are many reasons why schools are following the trend of not allowing their kids off campus during the lunch hour. My personal opinion is that for the safety of all a few may have to make sacrifices.

The Island Academy is non religious but it keeps its kids on campus all day and does not allow the parents to stay to visit at lunch time.

A.C.E.S. is expecting that from August, the child eats in the school. There are no tables, no chairs, if its rains, then child eat on there desk in the classroom.

Till now, they cook only Hot dogs and rice & beans or doughnuts.
No wonder if all the kids look like doughnuts and get diabetes when they older.

Does is help, to contact Hon. Education Minister Patrick Faber?
