Depends on what you want and/or need in accommodations. Let me know that, and I might be able to help.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

"Roatan uses the same electric voltage as the U.S.: AC (60Hz), 120/240 volts. The local electric provider, RECO, has outages from time to time, but they typically do not last long."

I can't remember the details about how these guys got the contract on the island, but they are doing (on a very small scale) what Ashcroft might do with BTL in a perfect world. If a government cannot or won't provide necessary services then give free enterprise a chance. Of course, "free" enterprise has nothing to do with donated capital and working not-for-profit.

I'd just arrive early in the day, have a look around. If you see something you like, politely offer half what they ask. We've never walked; and nobody ever let on that we'd offended. You probably get better treatment this way.
