Expecially if you are a beer drinker and plan on making a day trip to Cauker. I think that we drank maybe 2 or 3 that day....

Bring some common sense and a smile and money. These islanders are great people to deal with. The rest will take care of itself. If you have particular taste then bring them with you because they will cost you when buy them here. All US goods will cost you more. An example would be whisky or Cheerios are very expensive compared to US prices. If you look at rum and fresh fruit then it is a much better deal and in this climate much better for you. Kept in mind that this is an island and things must be barged in and if it's a US item it needs to be barged in from the US. Think local and you can find substitutes that will work for you. Think of this analogy 7-11 or Safeway. Safeway is your carry on cheaper and has better selection. 7-11 is San Pedro it may have what you want it but it's going to cost you . Hope this helps

I always carry a few clothes pins when I travel. Perfect for keeping snack bags closed, hanging laundry, clipping papers together and lots of other "stuff"

Enjoy and have a great time!
