- The Yucatan Cultural and Tourism Festival will take place on Monday evening, 22 June, at the House of Culture in Belize City. The event is presented by the Yucatan Tourism Board, the Mexican Hotel Association of Yucatan and the Embassy of Mexico.
The Festival is a display of the ancient culture, the rich traditions and the tourist destinations of the state of Yucatan, one of the Mexican states with the greatest attractions of foreign visitors. Among others, Yucatan has the archeological site of Chichen Itza, one of the 7 modern wonders of the world. There will be special offers and tourist packages for the different destinations of Yucatan, including Merida.
The Festival will include a show of traditional dances from Yucatan by the group “Ballet Folklorico de Lol-be”. Likewise, the duo “Alma y Gustavo” will perform trova and traditional music from Yucatan.
The event will be hosted by entrepreneurs and investors of the tourist sector and representatives of the main hotels in Yucatan.
The Festival is open to the public and the entrance is FREE. The tourism display will open at 5.00 p.m. and the show will start at 6:30 p.m.
