I keep reading about a casino (on this board) but i have not seen any ads in any of the brochures that I have received. What type of games do they offer..Blackjack???

Yeah, there is a casino here. A small one on the north side of town. Slots, and Blackjack. Dennis Wolfe plays there on Saturday nights. It's mostly used by locals, as tourists have a lot better things to do than hang out and waste money. There are some poker machines at the Pier Lounge as well. I don't reccomend either. I've seen several locals develop a unhealthy addiction to these machines.

For those with more serious gaming interests, there is a "real" casino in Belize City, at the Princess Hotel. It's not Las Vegas, but it's a lot closer to Vegas than the Palace in San Pedro. (There are also a couple of smaller gaming places in Belize City, but the Princess is the only one of interest to most visitors.)
