Any comments on the Beachfront Cabanas at Ramons? We like the idea of staying close to San Pedro, or we would have picked Victoria House.

we stayed there our first trip in 98. In our opinion, too expensive for what you get. Our favorite place to stay is Holiday Hotel, just a tiny bit north from Ramon's..beachfront rooms, great bar, walking distance to just about anywhere! Great restuarant and deli, too! No pool, but who needs one with that beautiful ocean in front of you??

Ramon's is nice but is expensive for the rooms that are very small. Things have changed there due to the hurricanes the last two years. I have been going in March since 1996. Email

Ramon's is great. We have stayed there many, many times and never had a problem. The beach front cabanas are well worth the extra money. Very clean and comfortable.

i stayed there beachfront in '93. it was ok. it is just a bed & a ceiling fan, if i remember. my friend stayed there later that same year, and did a 2nd floor, beach view, with a kitchette. she said the 2nd floor units were nicer. i didnt stay there my second visit. i am interested in checking out victoria house myself...
