Hey guys,

Does anyone (living there) have service through their iPhones? Hacked or otherwise? Are there any SIM supporting cell providers on the island? I've had an iPhone since they came out, absolutely love them. About to buy the new 3Gs but want to make sure I'll be able to use it in a couple months when I get down there! smile Thank you!

Yes, iphones work here - but as you mentioned they will need to be unlocked since we don't have ATT, Verizon etc here. I am not entirely sure but you probably won't be able to use all of the features of the newer iphones from here.

I have an unlocked iPhone that and my carrier is TMobile. Works fine for me but there are some data limitations of course (like there is isn't any). I can also put my BTL sim card in mine and it works as well.

Nice, well maybe I'll stick with the 1st gen seeing how the only benifit of the new 3Gs is it has better GPS (probably wont work), faster data (wont work), Compass (probably wont work) haha, everything else Im pretty sure the 1st Gen phone does just fine... Thoughts?
