I have had some people ask me if we were going to have the second annual contest and sadly due to a scheduling conflict the Trumpets won't be back on the island till 2010. The Good news is that Momma's new job is going very well and she is going to keep me in the lifestyle that I am growing accustomed to.
I therefore ask (beg) for someone to pick up the basting brush and carry on the tradition! The trophy is still at BC's and it really wasn't that hard to put together as everyone helps out and it beats the heck out of sitting on the bar stools listening to Dennis looking at that crappy reef!
On a personal note, I do wish that I could defend the title as I did enjoy reminding someone (who will remain nameless) that was "Sweet and Sassy" who the champ was this past Labor Day and made her kiss my ring about a dozen times!
Keep the party going! The Trumpets will be glad to make a donation to the contest and may the best sauce win!
