Reaper,

I am so excited you are doing this again!! How does one sign up? I would hate to book for this trip and not jump! Is it possible to request to jump with Bill & Becky McGhee? Becky's NOT gonna chicken out this time!

Thanks in advance - Susie

Unfortunately, we planned our trip before the Boogie was scheduled. Given that we are getting married while there, I tend to believe we might have been a little busy to participate anyway. I'll miss seeing you guys! Sorry to hijack the thread. Anyone that can make it the first week of February, please PM me.

Update;
We have locked up the boogie at 120 participants. 80 jumpers, 4 hotels! I will post the party night line up soon.
Tandems are available for a pre register deal of $200. See Cindy or Jeff at Pedro's.
Buzz, good luck and hope to see you in SP for a "congrats beer".
Poker tourney to benefit the town library at Pedro's Inn on Sunday the 21st. I'll be starting a separate thread on that soon.
If you are new to this event, we jump from February 20-March 1, 2010. Meet us at the SunBreeze Hotel if you would like to make a leap.
The landing area is just north of the cut. Coco Loco's bar is the official viewing are for the landings.
See you all there!

Hi There - A newbie to the Boogie question. Sounds like the event is so popular, why would there be the 'last time'? It seems like the popularity would support it happening every year, or at least every two years. Just wondering? thx!

As the island develops it becomes more and more difficult to guarantee a safe and practical landing zone.

Reaper - I'm happy to hear that but do you know that the beachfront lots from Coco Locos bar past the barge have been fenced in?

I have been in contact with Mr. Tabony regarding the landing area. We will remove all of the obstacles for jump week.
Good question gabby. Last February I decided to stop the boogies. It is a LOT of work and costs a LOT of money upfront to make successful. However after all of the jumpers begged me and my friends in San Pedro urged me, I gave in and decided to host it again. There will be a full time skydive business in SP late next fall and it may be easier to then run the boogie. As of now I co ordinate the entire thing from San Diego and have MANY, MANY fine people in Belize help me out.
This year we will be bringing a lot of first time visitors to the island. It is going to be a great party as usual!
The "Shark" wil be in town on February 19th!

Well kids, the party nights are nearly inked and the schedule will be out soon!
I have just done a count and we are at 132 participants!

Tandems are $225usd and $110usd for video.
Doug Forth (cute blonde Canadian Champion all of the ladies request!), Nick Boyd(took Walter), Kai Wolf(german Champion, great photo on here of him with Rosie Syme) and new to the boogie Nick Fenner (all around great guy) will be our tandem instructors. We have worn Lyal out and he may just come down to go fish with Eddie Ancona!
Whitney Robinson (Great Fun, you guys all know her), Lindsay Showalter(She rocks!), Aidan Walters(Canadian Champion) and Johnny Lemming (World Champion) will be on video flying circles around you guys!

The usual cast of characters are also in this year, along with a LOT of first timers to the boogie.

More on the party nights soon. And don't forget the poker tourney at Pedro's!!!!!!

We are getting psyched up! But Reaper, can you request that Dr. Tina come for a visit at the same time - that would make my year!

We have been watching the fun dvd that you made last year - what a great all around show - great music, fun people, showcasing our beautiful country. Wow!

Looking forward to seeing the whole crowd.
