Peter Singfield does a reef camping trip, which is really awesome, just floating wherever you so desire and living off what you catch....

He had a woman recently who is an excellent writer go on the trip, and she was kind enough to share her experiences in a very delightful journal.

So for a good read, see: //AmbergrisCaye.com/reefcrawl/trip.html

GREAT STORY, you must read this. I swear in another life I was a captain of my own boat. Ann Hollier you give me inspiration. I hung out on a 60 foot Stryker yacht for about a month and loved it. There's something to be said for having your sea-legs. I would have paid for this story in paperback. Thanks Ann (and Marty) for the treat!!!!!!!!!

WOW. i couldnt read all the middle but read most of beginning & end (you try it with 2 preschoolers home on a snow day!). cool. hope - i dont know what made you think of me, but i would NOT sleep on a boat any more than i would CAMP!! NOT!!!! thanks anyway. i do love and respect nature to a ridiculous degree, and would have loved to see the sights she did. 10 palm island, the squids, amazing. i think i'd wear a one-piece to fish!

Marty,
This was certainly a treat. I sat mesmerized and couldn't stop reading until I was done! Having been once, I could see all in my mind's eye. And then the things she described that I didn't have the priviledge to see, made me yearn to go all the more. This really makes me feel fortunate to be returning in June. Thank you so much for the heavenly repreive. *sigh*

Wow! I don't know if I've ever read anything quite like that. Thank you for allowing us to share your adventure.
