16 days to go- WOO HOO!!! I hope to arrive on the island by 5pm on the evening of March 22nd (Thursday).
After kicking off my shoes and running barefoot through the edge of the water, where should I go first for a drink, some good music and a great sunset??

AC,
If I was in SP on a Thursday evening we would be at BC's and have Art's Cajun "Thursday du jour" dripping down both arms. Would probably be able to find a drink there too. Won't be much in the way of music (except recorded) until later in the evening. Try Fidos.

CC-
I don't know what Thursday's du jour is, but it sure sounds like the perfect thing to sink my teeth into after a long day of transit to the island! Fido's late night- okay! I'm sure there is no shortage of friendly people that can direct me to the hot spots for a night of drinking and dancing! Thanks!

For a sunset... What is the name of the three story resort south of town? Is It the Yacht club...or the Lighthouse? It is a condo and on the top they have a beautiful bar. About 1/2 mile south of the airstrip. Most places in SanPedro face East so you need a top floor for optimum viewing :-] Tip a Belikin for all of us "Absent Companions"

Big Frank, There was a long discussion about the sunset "tower" and bar last year, and several thought that the three flights of stairs might be a problem coming down. Don't know why, maybe there just aren't enough stairs on the island to get any practice.
AC Beach--Thursday du jour would be whatever Art decides to whip up cajun style at BC's on Thursday evening, and Thursday evening only. It usually something different every Thursday, priced right and damn good. I've been told that they serve alcohol and cold beer too.

Big Frank,
I will be sure and throw one back for those in absence. You all seem like very seasoned Ac travelers. As for the drinking part-- my favorite vacation activity besides lounging on the beach-- what can I expect to pay for drinks?? I am strictly a rum drinker, but will try a Beliken or two in spirit of my surroundings:-) In other words, what should my entertainment budget be for a night of drinking-- I am a small woman and only require 4 or 5 drinks to get me doing the limbo!

Drinking is pretty reasonable on AC. My preference is the Crazy Canuck at the Playador. We entertained 2 friends, and sent drinks to our dive guides all night, and our entire tab was less than 47 BZ. Lots of happy hours! Have one for us!
