Hi everyone on this great board. Wife & I are going to Banana Beach May 3-10. I hope the beach is swimmable? Can anyone tell us about the beach at this hotel and the hotel itself?
We will take several boat trips to snorkel, but once in awhile we want to be just beach bums.

There have been many posts about Banana Beach here -- use the SEARCH facility to get a sampling. Most posters (including me) think highly of Banana Beach. Beautful rooms, friendly management, good value. The beach is right on the water. Just immediately north of the hotel is a nice stretch of beach, one of the best on the island (but don't expect Anguilla or BVI-style beaches). There is seagrass, as in most areas, but you can swim.
