First it was Mr. Angel Nu�ez who published his Twenty Five Years book that blossomed from his weekly column on Ambergris Today. Now we are very pleased to announce that Ambergris Today has a second accomplished author under its helm. Christopher Emmanuel has released another one of his amazing readings "Secrets to Life" - Keys to Inner Wisdom for Conscious Living.

In this book, Chris shares uncommon knowledge that can lead you away from difficulties back to your secret center. This book provides guidelines to connect to your inner source of wisdom, allowing you to live a life of happiness, success and radiant health.

Secrets To Life is a compilation based on the weekly column, written for Ambergris Today Newspaper from the year 2006. Christopher Emmanuel explores the simplicity of common sense wisdom extracted from living on the island of Ambergris Caye in the town of San Pedro. The book explores different topics that have not been published in Ambergris Today. So there is more excellent reading left in the book for all the avid followers of Chris in the newspaper. Christopher's Secrets

With soothing mellow music in the background, Chris Emmanuel addressed the gathering at the official book launch of "Secrets to Life", his newest publication that got rise from his weekly writings at Ambergris Today Newspaper under the same title.

The book launch took place at the Sunbreeze conference room on Saturday, November 28, where Chris not only read an excerpt from the book, but also from his collection of poems from two other books - True Love and Island Fever.

In his book "Secrets to Life" Chris explores the simplicity of common sense wisdom extracted from living on the island of Ambergris Caye. Chris' inspirational writings have garnered him local and international attention as he is currently working in project, both in Belize City and in the United States.

Chris Emmanuel's "Secrets to Life" is yet another great piece of work from a master of words filled with inspiration and provoking thought. His books and art can be purchased at his art gallery at the Sunbreeze Hotel and Pages Book Store at the Vilma Linda Plaza.

Artist Chris Emmanuel inspires through Recycled Sculptures

It all began with a conscious mind of keeping La Isla Bonita Clean that Chris Emmanuel got the idea of creating this wonderful sculpture of a Spotted Eagle Ray made out of plastic bottles. As he takes his ritual morning walks down the beach, Chris explains that he takes time to pick up discarded plastic bottles and trash that he finds along the way.

"I've had some tourists come up to the art gallery and comment on the garbage on the beach," Chris told Ambergris Today. "I told them that I pick up the plastic bottles and that is where the idea came of doing a sculpture. He told me that he would purchase my first sculpture no matter what it was and how it came out."

Chris' first sculpture of a Spotted Eagle Ray took him about a month to collect the bottles and 20 hours to complete the sculpture and it has been sold! It's on display at his gallery at the Sunbreeze Hotel. Chris managed to intricately weave 72 clear plastic water bottles together to form a magnificent ray and used the bottle caps as the sea creature's spots.

And guess what? Chris' sculpture has inspired other businessmen to take on similar recycling challenges and even Mayor Paz was impressed with his sculpture and idea to recycle. On Wednesday, March 10, Chris also visited Isla Bonita Elementary Primary School during morning assembly to showcase his sculpture and talk to the school children about the importance of recycling and pride in our Island's cleanliness. The teachers at the school will now take up the challenge of initiating a recycling project at the school and have the students create sculptures of their own.

Chris Emmanuel says that he is now inspired to create another sculpture and already has an idea of what it will be.
