3/3-3/10 first time. better than i hoped for. stayed at victoria house. loved it, looked to be the nicest place on the island. most expensive w/the exception of mata chica which i only saw from a boat but was told the food at mambo is awsome. biked to capt. morgans which is nice and more lively than v.c. but also pretty far from san pedro. snorkled hol chan shark ray and mexico rocks. liked mexico rocks the best b/c we were the only ones there. hol chan is beautiful but very crowded when we went. fished rocky point and caught tons of fish. went to lamani w/ searious tours (good company). lamani is a long haul, but a good tour if you like that sort of thing. food highlights were jerry's crab shack (across from ramon's. only opened a couple of weeks ago.) had the stone crab. best meal of our trip. good service too. jerk pit- very spicy. good value and freindly service. jade garden- no fish when we went. good place. el patio- nice atmosphere. good service. not an exceptiononal value. good food. estels-good breakfast. victoria house-great food. great atmosphere. not cheap. heard good and bad things about elvi's so didn't go. mainly small portions and high prices. bars- crazy canuk.- our favorite, good mix of local and tourist. good prices and awsome people and music. holiday hotel bar-good service and nice deck. capt. morgans- god drinks great bartender. victoria hse-very nice bar. great porch. the pier-very friendly. kind of dark. barefoot iguana- went early. had one drink. looked fun if you like the disco thing. fido's/purple parrot- similar to me. kinda felt like cancun or florida. good service at both. didnt see one mosquito. make shure to have a drink at jet's bar in bze if you have time. jet is a character.
