Hey, I'm coming to belize from texas. I don't have a passport, but heard that I could come with just my ID and birth certificate. Does anyone know for sure?

I hate to disappoint you, but a passport IS REQUIRED to get into Belize. Who ever told you about just needing an ID and birth certificate was thinking of Mexico. You CAN get passports within a few days in a RUSH situation. Do a search on the internet for the passport service and they will help you. OR call your local passport office. Ours happened to be at the courthouse. They can help you too.

Debbie is correct,..have to have a passport for Belize,....I.D. with photo and birth certificate gets you into Mexico. The Wallgreens (drug store chain) in our area does passport photos while you wait,....we filled out our forms at the post office. Check around to which post office in your area handles pass ports as most do not. Belize me,...Belize is worth the effort.

In NJ had to go to a local county/city office to complete the paperwork..then they mail it to one of the national centers (in our case, philadelphia) it back in about 3 weeks...they charge extra for rush...
