Diving is one thing, a trip to the museum is another. Personally, the statuary is not something I look for on a dive site. smile

Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt

I think it would be interesting to find out how they got there.

Peter thanks for posting. Seeing things where you least expect them can wake you up to a whole new way of being.

I'd expect that over time these currently fresh-raw bits of stone-sculpture will become fish and coral habitat and the statues will become alive in a special way - evolving from "interesting" into a rather fantastical vision.

N. Canuk - to see how they got there, visit/read the whole article link posted by Peter - it shows the scope of the project.

They'll probably be a magnet for fire coral. I watched someone put their bare arms around an underwater statue once, and she deeply regretted that action for many hours afterwards.

smile And isn't that one of the reasons that you teach people not to touch anything underwater?

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

I wonder what will happen in heavy stormy seas. Our Christ of the Abyss here gets knocked over on a regular basis. Also some parts get broken off. -
Yes, people do like to see these things - It just makes me wonder about how much damage can be done.

But bully for them for trying something inventive.
